Laying floors
Choose a suitable floor
Your home has underfloor heating and cooling. Lay floor covering that is suitable for underfloor heating and cooling and that blocks as little heat and cold as possible. Check with the shop or supplier where you buy the floor.
Underfloor heating works best with a PVC or marmoleum floor. Other floor coverings let less heat and cold through. It is better not to lay down a (large) rug.
Subfloor is not required
It is not necessary to lay a subfloor, but you can. Choose as thin a subfloor as possible that is suitable for underfloor heating and cooling. Check this when you buy the underlay.
Note the thickness of the floor
The floor should be a maximum of 10 mm thick. This includes the subfloor.
