Lockout service is available outside office hours, 7 days a week.

• If you call them, the service charge is €75.00 (an additional surcharge is possible, see below).
• Lieven de Key (including caretakers and RA's) cannot help you with a lock out.
• VMB does not issue new keys, they can only give access to your room. For replacement keys (letterbox), please contact your caretaker.
• Key-free room? Make sure you go through the frequently asked questions and help tools in the app (see the main page of your accommodation).
• Let the Lock Out Service know that you have a keyless room!
   

The VMB Lockout service is available when:

• You are the tenant of the room/studio (NOTE: the tenant must be present in person!).
• You are in your building
• You can show an official identity document*.
• You can email a copy of your tenancy agreement to VMB Lock out service.
• You are willing to pay the costs (minimum amount €67.00)**

How do you use the lock-out service?

STEP 1: Call the VMB Buitensluitservice (see call button below)

• State your full name, address, date of birth and telephone number and inform VMB of the exclusion.
• If you're calling with another phone number because you left yours in the room, please provide them with the phone number you're calling from as well!
   

STEP 2: Email your tenancy agreement to VMB Lock out service (see form below)

STEP 3: VMB will make an appointment with you (usually within 90 minutes).

• As soon as the VMB arrives, you (the tenant) must show an ID.* After the ID check, the VMB will let you in.
• If the VMB cannot find you, they may try calling your mobile phone. We therefore recommend that you provide a phone number where you can be reached at that time.

* Official ID:

• Passport or European identity card.
• Did you leave your ID in the room? VMB will ask a few questions to verify the information on your lease (you must still show your ID after you have been given access to your room).

** Payment:

• The rate of €75.00 is non-negotiable and cannot be adjusted. If you are not present at the agreed time, the costs may be higher based on the hourly rate of €75.00.
• The lockout costs must be paid to Lieven De Key: we will send you the payment link by email a few days later. The lockout service must be paid for within 48 hours.
• A payment reminder costs an additional €10.00 per reminder.
