You can dispose of your residual waste, paper/cardboard and glass in the waste containers in front of the building. These are the rules:

  • Put your residual and plastic waste in the container marked: ’restafval’.
  • Throw your paper and cardboard (boxes) in the container marked: ‘papier’. Tear your cardboard boxes small before throwing them in. Cardboard boxes are never bulky waste.
  • Only glass used for food and drinks packaging may be put in the container marked: ‘glas’.
  • Is the container full or broken? Walk to another container to dispose of your waste.
  • If you place your waste next to the container, you risk a fine of at least €100.
  • Bulky waste (e.g. appliances and furniture) includes large items that don't fit in the container. See the rules below.
  • Glass, paper & plastics are collected in special containers throughout the city.
  • Used batteries are collected in all supermarkets. Ask the helpdesk at the entrance for the whereabouts.

How to dispose of your bulky waste:

  • The City will collect it: Place your bulky waste on the edge of the pavement after 21:00 on Sunday or on Monday before 07:00. Make sure it’s within easy reach of the collection vehicle.
  • Take your items to a Waste Collection Point (‘Afvalpunt’): The Waste Collection Point for your neighborhood is Meerkerkdreef 31.
