Local taxes

Local taxes

  • Local taxes are not included in the rent. You will be responsible for paying these municipal taxes, which the local authorities impose on all residents. 
  • There are two types of taxes: pollution levy and water tax. Most of you will receive a tax bill from Waternet or from the local City Council.
  • Our advice is to pay the tax and then ask for a remission, depending on your financial situation. Your City Council can inform you on this matter (Amsterdam - call 14020).

 

​Watermeters 

You can also be asked to give up your watermeter numbers for Waternet registration. When you receive such a letter, please let us know or your contactperson at RAK, so Lieven de Key can deal with this matter. We probably need your help to retrieve the correct numbers.
