Choose contents insurance
If a leak or fire causes damage, contents insurance will cover some of these costs. For example, consider costs for new belongings and possibly hotel accommodation if you cannot stay in your own home.
It does not matter whether you or someone else caused the damage: if you do not have household contents insurance, you will have to pay for it yourself. We therefore recommend taking out this insurance. Decide for yourself which insurance suits you.
