Choose your own electricity supplier
Your home has its own meter that measures how much electricity you use. So you only pay for your own use. You can choose your own supplier and pay the bill directly to it.

Purchase an electric (induction) hob
There is no gas in the house. So you need an electric (induction) hob. In the kitchen worktop, there is a cable grommet. This allows you to bring the power cable from the hob to the socket. There are two sockets in the base cabinet. For the hob and for a (combi) microwave oven that can stand in the base cabinet. The hob can have a maximum power of 3600W. If you really like cooking and want more power for cooking, this can be discussed with the caretaker. Read more about this in the housing guide.

Pull switch bathroom
There is a combination pull switch in the bathroom. This switch ensures that if you have a washing machine and a dryer, they cannot be on at the same time. This prevents overloading the group they are connected to.

Switching electricity on and off using the distribution board
Each flat has its own group box in the meter cupboard in the corridor. You open the cupboard with your front door key. Read more about this in the housing guide. Note! There are two meter boxes with your house number. One for you and one for Eteck. Your key only fits your own meter cupboard. This one has a single door.
